Film Network i launch a new platform for all audio visual sector professionals.

Film Network i co founders

FilmNetwork, began as a non-profit Facebook group page in 2010, which quickly saw its membership grow to over 1,500 industry people who hold regular networking events.

Next week sees its expansion to a new film industry online hub. Film Network i has been created by three young entrepreneurial Dublin film industry professionals, Paul Butler-Lennox Actor – actor and voice over artist, 3D artist Ray Mongey, and animator Jimmy Reynolds.

The Irish Film Board funded Screen Directors Guild of Ireland (SDGI) have described “Film Network i as:

a brilliant initiative, which will make networking with the right people much easier for the entire spectrum of film professionals in Ireland.”

Co-founder, Paul Butler-Lennox said “they decided after attending a film festival in Cork a few years ago that there was a need for an online hub for the industry where people looking for success and to further their careers can meet with like-minded people in the industry”.

The creators of Film Network i said that their new website became a reality, thanks to an investment of a successful Irish documentary cameraman based in the United Arab Emirates who seen the huge potential for the site globally.

FNi will be a one stop shop for all film practitioners something which has been lacking in Ireland up to now. Directors and cinematographers can upload show reels; actors can upload photographs and head shots, make-up artists and sound engineers, scriptwriter, art director’s animators, and all other film technicians will have an opportunity to upload and showcase their skills at FNI

Ray Mongey said it could best be described as “a social networking platform for film industry professionals for film, television, audio, music and animation”

In a rapidly changing film environment and so much new talent coming through Film Network i is a wonderful opportunity to network with people within the industry share ideas, seek support for a project and principally an opportunity to present your craft to a wider audience.

You can share you information on Film Network launching on Monday 17th of September. www.filmnetworki.com You can find me there next week!

The best of luck to all involved in FNi
