During my involvement with Lucan Festival there were many great events but 2 that stand out for me was the week long art exhibition which contained the art works of 16 – 17 local artists both years. Since then sadly one of the most respected local artists Liam Keely sadly passed away. Here is a short video from our 2010 exhibition.
The event which was a huge hit with children and parents alike was the visit of Conor Lambert’s Custard Pie Company. Deciding to host the event outdoors at the end of the Methodist Church nestled among the tall birch trees was a real winner. Of course we were never really sure of what the weather would be like and there was always a need for plan B. But thankfully on both occasions the weather played its part.
The festival will continue to take place annually in mid-September.
