Neverland – to be aired on SkyHD on 8th & 15th July

Neverland – is a new mini-series which will be shown in two 90 minute episodes on Sky Movies Premiere HD on 8 and 15 July 2011. The majority of the production took place in and arond Dublin, Ireland with some scenes in Genoa, Italy.  The cast that includes Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) who plays James Hook, Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny and Bob Hoskins

Sky Movies HD, MNG Films and RHI Entertainment present Neverland, a bold new tale inspired by the magic of Peter Pan for all the family to enjoy. The prequel to J.M. Barrie’s classic Peter Pan, written and directed by Nick Willing, sweeps viewers in time from the turbulent seas of the pirates of the Caribbean to the back alleys of Dickensian London. It explores the history of the beloved characters including The Lost Boys, Captain Hook and The Indians as well as explaining how the crocodile got his tick and the mystical beginning of Neverland.

Nick Willing, Neverland Writer and Director said, “I have always dreamt of making my own version of this classic story and am deeply honoured to be involved. I have found Sky Movies bold, innovative, and imaginative – the perfect partners for this ambitious mini-series.”

Neverland is produced by Dublin-based Parallel Films on behalf of MNG Films in association with Syfy and Sky Movies HD and will be distributed by RHI Entertainment. I was delighted to be part of this production and look forward to its screening on SkyHD on the 8th and 15th of July 2011.

Here is a sneak review , it looks really good!
