My time in Neverland!

After all the doom and gloom of the first half of 2010, it really was fantastic to get your feet back under the table again and be offered the role of Construction Manager on Neverland – a two-part prequel to the Peter Pan story commissioned by Sky Movies HD

Featuring Golden Globe nomine Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny, BAFTA winner Rhys Ifans (Nothing Hill, and Harry Potter) will play James Hook – Oscar nominee Bob Hoskins as Mr Smee, and Charlie Rowe as Peter Pan.

Production began in mid July on the four-hour movie event. Week one of the shoot was in Genoa, Italy at the beginning of September before moving to Dublin for 10 weeks shoot. Irish locations included Blessington Lakes, Killiney Hill, Dublin Castle, North Great Georges Street and our studio base at Swords  North County Dublin. It was the largest green screen shoot ever to be done in Ireland to date and I really enjoyed this new experience.

I hope the images below give you a little insight to behind the scenes on Neverland. Watch out for its release in the second half of 20011 on Sky Movies Premiere.

It was a tough job but a rewarding one, but alas its all over. Lets hope I don’t have to wait as long in 2011 to start the next project.
